Staysee 90 V2
Bassdozer says: "Of all Lucky Craft lures I have used, be they crankbaits, lipless, jerkbaits or topwaters, the Staysee 90 V2 has one of the most life-like actions."
Where smaller bass abound, in clear water, or with lighter gear, I am basically going to cover the water column with the smaller, lighter range of jerkbaits such as the Pointer 78 to get a few feet deep, the Pointer 78DD to get six feet deep, the Pointer 78 XD to reach about 8 feet deep, and I will use the the StaySee 90 V2 to dredge even deeper to about ten feet down.
Where bigger bass are found, in tangly cover or with heavier tackle, I will go to bigger jerkbaits such as the Pointer 100, 100DD and others in the 100 size range. Here still I will use the Staysee 90 V2 to delve deeper than the others.
Whether you use the bigger, heavier jerkbaits (the 100's) or the smaller, lighter ones (the 78's), the Staysee 90 fits in with either group, and the Staysee dives the deepest of all. When the jerkbait bite is on, I am basically going to use the Staysee to reach deeper than any other jerkbait that Lucky Craft offers.
Affixing the next size bigger trebles to the Staysee V2 beefs it up tremendously. With bigger hooks, it is a great, great deep-diving jerkbait. It has not gotten the full recognition it deserves, but that's okay by me.

Staysee 90 V3
The most significant point about the new Staysee V3 is it's one of the only bass jerkbaits able to break the 10 foot depth barrier.
Lucky Craft continues to improve one of their most productive jerkbaits with the addition of the Staysee 90 Version 3 (V3) Slow Sinker.
The Staysee 90 V3 is a little heavier and dives a little deeper than its predecessor, the Staysee 90 Version 2 (V2).
Californian tournament legend Gary Dobyns had always modified his Staysee V2's with “suspend dots” to make the jerkbait dive a little deeper and “nose down” slightly more when paused during the retrieve.
Now the V3 has the same body as the V2, but is factory-weighted inside to achieve Dobyns customization right out of the factory.
The stock Staysee 90 V2 runs between 7 to 9 feet deep, while the new version 3 reaches depths between 10 and 12 feet. There are few other jerkbaits on the market that break the 10 foot depth barrier.
Lucky Craft has also increased the size of hooks to #4 trebles on the V3. This is something you can do yourself with the Staysee V2 also - bump the hooks up one size, and if you need to, you can go up to #2 hooks on either the V2 or the V3 versions.
According to Dobyns, the action of the Staysee 90 version 3 is different than other jerkbaits. It is not an erratic action, but much more of a subtle, walking action as it moves through the water. It works best with soft 'pops', and Dobyns likes to fish it by changing up the rhythm and number of pops he give it.
