The deps Highsider Jr. is bigger than your average bass bait. It is a big swimbait that requires fairly heavy tackle in order to cast and fish properly.

The Highsider Jr. is a jointed minnows that incorporates 4 body pieces that can be worked with multiple retrieve speeds. Designed to produce an irregular flare, the Highsider swims with a methodical flow as all of the joints follow each other. The joints are joined with extra strong hardware to make sure the monsters get to the boat and they also produce a loud clanking sound as they bang against each other. With a fast retrieve speed, the Highsider can dive to depths of 4-5 feet while rolling on its side producing an enticing flash appeal. When stopped, it slowly floats to the surface where it can be deadsticked or twitched.

High Side Flashing Appeal. The Highsider Jr. is weighted so that it can be fished with a fast retrieve to get that reaction bite. All 4 pieces of the body flow in a rhythmic pattern, one following the other. As the bait builds speed, it flashes from side to side in an irregular motion.	Slow Roll. With a slow retrieve the Highsider Jr. emits a loud clicking sound and an unusual wide roll and kick.	Deadsticking Appeal. The bait will sit with its head and tail buried in the water while its back sticks out. With a jerk of the rod, it flares on its side.
A Fast Retrieve Causes a Side Flaring Action! The deps Highsider Jr. swims with an action that traces the letter S through the water on a steady retrieve. It produces an S like action that flares from side to side like an injured baitfish demonstrates on the surface.	4 Piece Jointed Body. Each joint is joined together by extra strong hardware. They produce a clacking sound as they bang together.	Feathered Hook. The rear hook features a colored deer hair hook adding an extra fish catching appeal.

The Highside Jr. creates a similar side-to-side sliding effect as a jerkbait. Constant, skillful rod action is required to make a jerkbait to dart and flash left, then right throughout the retrieve, zigzagging back and forth. In comparison, the constant natural "S" action of the Highsider is accomplished with a simple, steady retrieve.

When paused and allowed to float on the surface, the Highsider Jr. will roll over and lay on it's side, The jointed body will arc over and downward in a semi-circle with the tail hanging downward like a dying fish. Any water movement will cause the jointed body to sway and flex feebly like a dying fish, and the feathered tail will flicker enticingly, often getting hit when deadsticked on the surface like this.
