Zappu Mustang Head ~ Swimming Jighead ~ 3 per pack

Zappu Mustang Head ~ Swimming Jighead ~ 3 per pack

The Zappu Mustang Head is a swimming-style jighead. The Mustang Head has been on the market in Japan over three years. The Mustang Head is just now becoming available outside Japan.

The Mustang Head is available in 1/16, 3/32 and 1/8 ounce sizes and features a titanium weedguard.

All sizes of the Mustang Head have a size #1 custom-designed Owner hook.

Made of 97% tungsten, this is both environmentally-friendly and claimed to be advantageous for the fisherman. Tungsten is much more compact than lead, allowing it to slip through smaller gaps, and its increased density provides even greater feel as the jigs bounce off cover or when light-biting fish subtly engulf them.

The Mustang Head is a smaller, lighter version (with no skirt) of the Zappu PD Chopper jig, minus the skirt.

The Mustang Head is ideal for swimming smaller swimbaits and finesse worms in clear water. It can be used like a shakey head or it can be retrieved steadily like a swimming jig and it provides a little bit of unpredictable, small swimming movement as it is retrieved, depending on what trailer is used with it.

The face of the Mustang Head is relatively flat, pushing water out of the way as it is pulled forward on the retrieve.

Viewed from the front, the head is widest at its approximate mid-point and tapers down quickly toward the bottom.

This shape allows an increase in swaggering action and depending on trailer used, may or may not cause a rolling action during the retrieve.

The unique tapered design of the Mustang head acts as a rudder, bringing it back to center each time, and that creates the little bit of wiggle or woggle (depending on trailer used).

That flat design also allows them to stand straight up when allowed to rest on the bottom. Stop it on bottom, though, and it tends to stand straight up on its flat face.

The price is for a pack of three (3) jig heads.
